What You'll Need
To have a job printed at the library, you will need to stop by the library and pick up a copy of the Guidelines and Policies and the Sublimation Request Form. Read the Guidelines completely so you have a thorough understanding of the policies, including any restrictions.
Or CLICK HERE to print the form.
You can bring your own items, or purchase items from the library.
If you plan to bring your own items, the best materials to use for sublimation printing are polymers or items that have been coated with a polymer.
The word polymer is a term used to describe a type of synthetic material that is made out of large molecules. It is a type of plastic that has a chemical structure that is especially receptive to sublimation printing.
If using a fabric, man-made fibers are best for sublimation printing. Polyester and other synthetic fibers like nylon, rayon, lycra and spandex are some of the fabrics that work well with sublimation printing. Because it is made from natural fibers, cotton does not work for sublimation printing and will wash out easily.
Cost
The cost of using the sublimation fee begins at a flat fee of $2.00, plus $1.00 per page. [Note: The library cannot cut pages. When purchasing the material, you will be purchasing the entire page.]
Custom design requests can be submitted to Library Staff for an additional fee of $3.00 per design.
