We are now a Family Search Affiliate Library!
FamilySearch.org offers access to many worldwide digitized records that other genealogy databases do not, so I always encourage patrons to use FamilySearch.org to compliment their family history research. While you can currently access some Family Search records from your home computer, you can now access additional restricted FamilySearch.org records at computers in the library and when connected to our WiFi. Patrons will need to create their own account at FamilySearch.org, which they will log in to each time. Some patrons may already have accounts, which they can use in-house to access additional records. They can also create their own public family trees and download/print the documents they find.
Please be aware that not all content that was available on microfilm has been digitized yet, and some material may not be digitized due to arrangements between FamilySearch and the records' custodians. Users may occasionally come across records that can only be accessed at a LDS Family History Library. The closest Center to us in at 3939 Turtle Creek Drive, Port Arthur. They have limited hours so call them at 344-3993 to make verify their hours.
