Every Child Ready to Read
Parent/Caregiver Workshop

Do you have children under the age of 5? Are you wondering what you need to do to help them get ready for school? If so, why not join us for one of the “Every Child Ready To Read®” parent/caregiver workshops at the Marion and Ed Hughes Public Library. The workshops are scheduled for
Monday, March 15th at 7:00PM
Wednesday, March 17th at 10:30AM.

This hour-long workshop is designed to show parents and caregivers how to identify the six pre-reading skills children must know before they can learn to read. We’ll explore the Library’s books, programs and other resources that will help parents and caregivers understand what to read to infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We’ll also cover how to use those tools to help your child develop those early literacy skills.

The workshops are free to the public and preregistation is not required. This workshop has been approved by the state as Continuing Education Credit for the day care providers. For more information on this or any other programs, feel free to contact the library at (409) 722-1255.
